I have a Marantz DP 870 Dolby Digital Decoder for sale. If you have not gone the Dolby 5.1 route yet and have a Dolby Prologic receiver with Pre-AMP inputs this will get you into Dolby Digital. The DP870 provides discrete analog outputs to your A/V receiver with direct inputs. It offers the ultimate surround sound capable of decoding AC-3 datastream into six discrete channels for surround sound of unparalleled realism. Fully Compatible built-in demodulator 'unpack' siz-channel AC-3 audio coding prior to decoding proper (early laserdisc players have no demodulation circuitry). Digital input receives six-channels digital datastream to preserve accuracy of signal; also AC-3 RF analogue input. Original MSRP of this unit was $879. I am asking $150 plus $20 shipping (US only). The unit does not come with a remote, but the Marantz RC2000 MK 1 and Mk2 are both pre-programmed to control the unit and are both readily available on ebay-excellent remotes.
