Discount Tire Centers (California) has a special for february- FREE ALIGNMENT check.

When their competitor "Just Tires" had a similar offer last year, I went there and indeed it was free. Luckily, the alignment was within specs, so no work needed (that extra work is not free, but through April 2005 there is a coupon for $20 off alignment prices on their web page).

The print ad was in Saturday's LA Times, page D5. The bottom text implies the coupon in the ad is necessary for the free check, but the top text does not. It does not really look like a coupon so I don't think they'd hassle you if you don't have one, but call ahead if you are concerned.

Alignment checks are always free here...even at the dealership. They only charge if you need to have the alignment corrected.

Well that's great in Texas, but here in LA nothing is free. Not even a cup of water I've found out!!!

Who? Bottled water here is like $2.50 a bottle!!! For 16 measelt ounces!! I went to a place the other day and asked for a cup of water and they said it's 50 cents!!! I just paid for it I was so damn thirsty...
