It's going to be HOT this year folks.

Costco has this unit for $109.99-$50.00 INSTANT (at register) Edison rebate for $59.99+tx out the door.
Has a remote, thermostat, micro filter, and is not very heavy.

One month last year my electric bill was over $800.00! Not going to let it happen this year. I bought 2 units and may get two more (one for the garage).

Has a EER (efficiency rating) of 10.7 which is pretty decent and qualifies for the Energy Star rating for what that is worth.

I have not opened the boxes yet, but generally they come with plastic expandable covers for the empty space. Installing in both vertical and horizontal sliding windows so I will report back once completed tomorrow.

They did last week. Several of them. I would recommend the Sharp 8500btu unit which is selling for 129.9 after the instant Edison rebate. It is louder but the Daewoo had trouble cooling our entertainment room with all of it's electronics. The Daewoo works great for the bedroom

Does the window air conditioner have window enclosure? I have a side by side window and I'm concerned that i would have to make a window enclosure . .

It comes with the sides only, so it will fit windows and ope/close up/down. Not side by side. For this you would have to put in some plexi glass or similar to make it work.
