The first reviews are out and they are impressive. I just bought two for preorder to compare to my 8800GTX setup and will keep the winner. Frys has them on preorder for $229.99
Keep in mind that SLI in Vista is causing some issues so one would probably have to wait for updated drivers if you intend to run SLI in Vista. XP SLI appears to work very well.
Also the new 65nm 8800gts cars should be out in late November. They are supposed to be faster than the current GTX which will also undergo an upgrade later.

Good point. Always use a solid PSU. The GT appears to be pretty good in terms of power draw. In SLI it only pulls a little more than one 2900xt.
