Default So, you found something for free!

Now what do you do? Do you post all of your vital information smack dead on the internet for everyone to see? Do you write off invalid info so that you can get your 'freebie?'

Honestly guys, there's no such thing as free! Unless you steal it. Here's a couple of ways that you can defend your self against identity theft, spam, and scammers.

1. Read the web sites' Privacy Policy! See if it contains information on who will be using it, when, and where. Some companies sell your information to other companies to gain profits from scams, spam, and even... the dreadful house call!

2. Once you get your 'freebie,' remove your information from that web site asap! You never know what's going on behind closed doors!

3. If you think it's suspicious, don't give anything away!

4. Make sure you're on a secure firewall on your router, or desktop/laptop. Some web sites use tracker cookies, and other scripts to gain access into your computer to gain vital information.

5. If you're going to order your 'freebie,' make sure you have some privacy. Even if it's at home!
