Yes it is the 40D body only...and it is the best deal that I have seen out there without a formal Canon rebate. With shipping it came out to $1020. $1099 is the best price I have seen from a reputable e-tailer (Abe's of Maine).
I just bought one today. BTW, I used to live in INDY where Roberts is located and they are a quality company.
The help I received today was great. They have great prices on their compact flashes as well.
