1) Most are dine in only. The details of each "gift certificate" is explained prior to checkout.
2) Yes. To use the gift certificate, you need to spend a certain amount. For example, for most $25 gift certificates, you need to spend minimum $35 (before tax and tip). It really turns out to be like a coupon, not a gift certificate.
3) The gift certificates state you need to present it before the meal.
4) If they don't accept the gift certificate, they need to tell you before the meal. Restaurant.com has e-mailed me if a restaurant stops accepting the gift certificates, and gives me credit to purchase other gift certificates at other restaurants.
