Default no FEE!!! send money through amazon

https://payments.amazon.com/sdui/sdu.../textpayme/faq

I so hate PAYPAL and ebay. Here, we can send money with no fees!!!

it's simple.

text to amazon and put in the amount and phone number. That's it.

example,

textto: AMAZON

pay 5 xxxXXXxxxx

the above will send 5 dollars to the owner of the phone number.

To request money:
req 5 xxxXXXxxxx

**** the **** paypal for freezing my account for no good reasons!!

From what I know, the Mobile Carrier usually charged the merchants a fee for adding the payment onto the billing statement. If Amazon is going to be covering all the fees the Mobile Carrier will charge, this would be a great deal.

I am only skeptical because I work in the payment industry. Notice how the website doesn't say the Mobile Carrier won't charge you anything? But I still hope Amazon will be covering all the fees the Mobile Carrier WILL charge to process the funds.

I might have misread the thing... please verify for yourself.

however,

"No, there is no additional charge to send money using TextPayMe. Standard text messaging rates may apply from your mobile carrier."

maybe some vendors here can start accepting some personal payments

carrier is not providing the service. Amazon verifies the phone number and uses their own processing method based on message sent. Only text message fees apply (which free for me).

So how do you get paid? You get a credit on your Amazon account, or you get paid through your phone provider?

I assume to send/receive money, everyone involved has to sign up?
