Anyone live in Cincinnati, OH
I am looking to relocate there and would like some assistance on areas to live in, good school districts, where to avoid, etc. I am using the relocation companies realtor service; but, I would like to speak with people that actual live in the areas that I would be contemplating. Preferably, more family-oriented areas.
Although, to be fair, I race BMW's in SCCA/BMWCCA/NASA, own three BMW's (two M3's and an M5), Lexus, and a Jeep. Probably looking to get an LX as a tow vehicle, or GX (depending on what the members here say). I work on my cars quite a bit, and, well, the air compressor can make a nice sound ...
So, maybe you'll direct me from your neighborhood, hehe. However, I can probably change your entire suspension in about 1.5 hours -- saving you quite a lot of money.
I am not looking for a super posh neighborhood. Never got along with those type of people. I am more hands-on -- I like working on cars, building stuff (woodwork), etc. So, I visited Indian Hill and that's out. I would also like to buy a cheaper place (don't want to spend $800K on a TH w/no backyard like where I am at now, lol). I am thinking of spending 1/2 that amount ... and picking up a vacation home in lieu of putting money into a primary residence.
For $300-350K -- can I get a decent place there? It appears so ... but, what neighborhoods should I focus on?

My son just bought a great place on a golf course in Colerain township (northeast side). He was roughly in your price range and he has a 3br, 2.5ba ranch with a 3 car garage. The area is very nice, close to highways/shopping and not too far from some great schools (not to mention on a golf course!). PM me if you'd like and I can give you more information or other suggestions in the area. I have spent my whole life in Cincinnati, so I know the area pretty well.
