Hi,

I just want to bring this old thread back. I was curious as to where can I get the adapter so that I can put a cone filter?

I have been searching on ebay and stuff, and I cannot find it.

thank you.

update: I am now running the injen intake with a custom pipe that turns it into a cold air intake. As for the adapter, you can get it on ebay.

kool..

are the adapters all universal? like all toyota ones or are they different bolt pattern and such?

I am looking at ebay but they only have supra for MKIII not the MKIV, so I dont know if the 7MGE is the same as the 2JZGE bolt pattern (the mass air flow meter).

I didnt see this post, but My intake looks the exact same, Cut from an old civic piping tho, early 90's , If you get the adapter, it usually comes in 4inc ,so you might have to get an attachment between the MAF adapter and the actual air filter, you can pick it up at home depot, there called like 4inc into 3 inch tube clamp or something

First of all, holy old thread batman.

Second of all a chopsaw or bandsaw cuts thru pipe like butter.

The reason the brakes go down when you turn on the ac is that theres a fast idle function when you hit the button, thus creating more vacuum. The brake booster is vacuum, the more you have the more the diaphram gets sucked in. You should have between 18-22inches of vac at idle.

haha..yeah, I didnt noticed that this thread was created around 2003!

Well, I used the searched function, and went through threads..atleast I didnt make a new one

Its nice to know that MKIII will fit the GS. Ill go and buy an adapter and just make my own piping.

thanks again!!!

you can take one off of a Datsun 280Z. it might be cheaper from a junkyard or anyone who did a swap on their 280. just take it apart from the throttle body, shouldnt cost more then $10 at the junk yard or put it in your toolbox and walk out with it LOL... thats what i did to my first N/A Supra.

DIY intake vs. Injen intake, no difference. I mainly got it since i wanted a quality brand.lol...

As for the cai setup now, it makes the biggest difference when the car is moving.
