The dude that was putting that together got in pretty bad wreck and his GS was totalled. I think he has been trying to take care of his business and hasn't had the time to work on the GB.

The floormat group buy is available for our cars......

A month or two ago, 1SICKLEX asked for our opinions on a group buy and the concensus was for the window-trim because it tends to come loose and makes a lot of wind noise. Another item that was sought after are struts for the hood and trunk. I haven't heard anything since then.

Here's the link to that thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...threadid=98820

Most of the stuff for the Group-Buys are for the 2nd Gen GS and the IS. There are some generic items on sale such as TM plugs, floor mats, and filters. But nothing specific to the 1st gen GS

Default What about the fisrt gen people?

I have to agree with everyone here because I have been patient and waiting for OUR GB.I noticed the only people to benefit are the 2nd gen gs and the is, but nothing for us.I don't want to sound ungrateful, but what the f--k am I going to do with floormats! Maybe I can buy the floormats and roll them up and use them as ear plugs because of the wind that is coming through my f---ked window trim!! Sorry guys, just venting

Default group buy

Dudes, Pianoman is right. 1Sick got into a wreck and is dealing with issues from that from what I have read in the GS3/4 forum. You might want to try calling Steve at Carson Toyota and buying directly from him.

I think there wasn't a group buy because there are very few aftermarket items available for the 1st gen. Also, there are not a lot of us (compared to the 2nd gen GS and IS owners) so getting a group buy is probably a lot harder. I didn't see anything specific to the ES, LS, RX, GX, LX, or SC, so maybe we shouldn't feel so bad about being left out.

Well I think a GB for the hood/trunk struts would really work for one of the vendors. I know we all need them but we don't really have a good excuse to buy them at $60 a pop. But like ya'll said there aren't many of us around so why should they bother.

Window trim is probably going to be too expensive for me, even with a GB. Isn't it $300-400 retail?

I've got some double-sided trim tape I am going to use on it but I haven't tried it yet.
