Default center console lights.

Hi guys,

Here's the dilemma: Some of the lights in my center console are out. ie. inside/outside temp, buttons on my radio, etc...

Is there a fix for this short of getting a new center console? Is it as easy as changing bulbs in there? It kills me that these lights are out.

I don't know exactly how to change it, but there is definitely a burnt out bulb in there that can be changed instead of buying new consoles.

I'll poke around the SC forum and see if I can find anything.

If you like to tinker with electronics, you can take apart your radio and other parts and then find out what bulb you need and then buy it from Radioshack or Fry's Electronics. Should be pretty easy, you'll just have to take the time to disassemble the parts. Good luck!

So I finally got around to taking the A/C unit apart. Seems like the bulbs are simple LED's w/ green plastic covers on them. Does anyone know if it's as simple as changing the LED's? They're housed on a round grey plastic piece so I'm not sure. Someone mentioned the lights were #24's, but that's obviously not the case....

They are not LED's, they're bulbs! I have LED's in almost any color, if you'd like to replace them with LED's. I also have the bulbs as well.

bulbs or led's, I don't have a preference for either. Do you know the bulb size? Can I pick them up at any auto parts store? or radio shack even?
