it gives you more hp when driving on frwy..........on the street, it sucks, cuz you hear a lot of noise inside
the car. i changed my piping to 2" 1/4 from catalytic all the way back to mufflers....i just stayed with same design piping. jst changed the diameter of it to 2" 1/4.

I remember telling you that the Supra doesn't have a resonator. Maybe I was wrong because the Greddy cat-back exhausts for the twin-turbo Supra have resonators:
Here are some posts I found regarding the subject:

MOST cat back systems will acually have a resonator in place where the stock resonator was. If it did not, the car would be way too loud. Unless you are going for all out racing, then don't remove these, I will guaranty you that you will be sorry you did. Maybe removing these and putting a more high flow resonator might be what you want
just my .02

1) Dampen the high frequencies from the exhaust. Removal will result in a resonance that can be heard and felt at certain RPM's.
2) Reduce the sound level through reflection.
I removed them on my SC400 and within a week they were back on. Did not gain any appreciable power but picked up a nasty resonance.

I just removed mine today... but I also had the stock mufflers welded back up. Now it sounds like a stock 400. I would imagine it would be a lil much with a straight thru muffler.

Damn Leets, your on a roll!! Do you have pics of it? BTW did they just weld the pipes together when they removed the resonators and then connect that pipe to the exhaust?
Thanks

I am going to lower my car and replace the shocks first. Right now Im debating whether to get the eibachs or vogtlands. Either way I am going to see Todd at tmengineering this Friday so I may end up with the Tanabes which would lower my car 1.8 inches.
What do you think about this? thanks

I definitely think it is a better idea to lower your car than removing the resonators. Are you going to put on some rims too?
