I started a thread a long time ago regarding painting the chrome trim of the grill all black a few months ago. Anyhow, I decided to do it today.
Since the screw was stripped, I've always had to use newspapers to paint because the grill just won't come off. Here is a pic of the work. However it is still drying in my garage right now![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
My car is looking like darth vader! hahaha
I'll have pics of the finished product tomorrow.

A few hours later, I removed the newspapers and this is what we have now. The emblem will be put back on tomorrow.

i like the stealth look...just a little concerned with the peeling. i hope you didn't scuff the chrome finish on the grill to make the paint stick

Yo Lex; looks like some good work, i have been planning on doing the same thing since i cant find a mesh grill replacement. I am also woundering like geees did you scuff your chrome up to make the paint stick, and also what type of paint did you use to do the job with.
