I heard you had air bag suspension, How do you like it? Was it a pain in the butt? How much did it cost? I'm looking to lower my 98 GS and i like the idea of an adjustable suspension set-up
Thanks

Well, I had my gs bagged back in 2001.The ride was very good, but if you do bag your car you need to use 8 valves not 4.The reason I tell you this is because after I bagged mine another guy in the area did and his car rode like crap. The car needs equal pressure at every wheel.2 valves per wheel.I only had front, back, and pancake.I didn't want side to side because I have 20's on my car and that would of messed up my fenders. It wasn't that much, and the kits are much cheaper now.I never had any problems with it and I really enjoyed having it on my car.The only reason I took off the bags was due to the fact my tires rubbed on my inner fenders like crazy. Every where I went I would the rubbing and it got annoying and embarassing. So the options that I had at the time were, go down to 18's and keep the bags or just lower it on eibach springs and keep the 20's.Well I went with the springs. If your looking to just lower your car I would highly recommend going with TEIN CS coilovers.I have ridin in a 99 gs3 on 20"s with those and the ride is amazing. Its really up to you on what you want to do.Bags or I should say cylinders, are fun but in the long run you might be happier with the coilovers. Here is a pic of my car at slamfest and the web site of the shop that did all the work on my car.If you have anymore questions feel free to PM me.

hey i have a shop in la, if he interested in bagging it, but i do not suggest that he bag his car, bagging a car comes with problems, no matter what anyone say, bags have problems and need to be maintaint, just a nice drop would be excellent..

I said once and I'll say it again....
Airbags or air cylinders are fun but not the greatest when it comes to handling. They do ride good if they are set-up right, but if better handling and some drop is what your looking for then coilovers are the way to go.Mine should be here in 4-5 weeks. Another thing ,If you are running 19 or 20's on your car then airride won't be the best everyday car because you will scrub all the time.Thats why I took them off.If you go to a show and drop it; thats fine but if you drive your car everyday it's a PITA..
