Someone else outbid me on a GS that I liked, so now I'm in the middle of the road here.
I can find another GS or I can buy an LS off my parents. My sister already has a GS so I was thinking of swapping cars with her once in a while.
What do you guys think?

LS is pure luxury as a GS is more sportier. If I were in your situation, I wouldn't choose the LS as that just doesn't suite my age.

One more thing to take account is that I always fix up my car. If I get the LS, I won't be able to 'cause there's barely any parts for it.

There aren't tons of mods for the first gen GS out there either. I wouldn't let that be much of a factor in the decision. Drive both cars and decide based on which one you like driving the most. I like my first gen GS a lot, but sometimes I get a craving for a V8.

I beg to differ. I think someone needs to drop by the LS forum and check it out.

There are still more available aftermarket parts for GS's than LS's. So if I get the GS, I'll definitely spend too much than I would've wanted.

Well, you don't necessarily have to be a geezer to like a comfortable car like the LS. And lots of older people still appreciate a car like the GS with some athletic manners. The nice thing about getting the LS is that presumably the history of the car will be known...it has been in the family for some time.

Actually, I've decided to help my sis fix up her GS and I'm getting the LS. So, the best of both worlds.
