My Transmission ingauges harsh when I go from P to Drive/Reverse. Whats the problem?
Im having a problem with the way my car ingauges into Drive or Reverse from Park. I notice that sometimes when the car has warmed up it shift smooth into gear. When the car is not warmed up fully it will ingauge very harsh all the time.
Ps.. Also I notice that my car takes a bit long to shift into 4th Gear sometimes. My mechanic told me that he seen metal particals in my oil when he dropped the Transmission oil pan.

Most likely the harsh engagement when it is cold is caused by your engine idling pretty high to try to warm up. Mine does that sometimes. But I would be concerned about the metal debris in the tranny fluid, get a shop to check it out before you do some serious damage to it.
