Tanabe DF210 for JZS147 Pictures
After months of trying to find time to do this through my busy schedule, me and my friend finally lowered my sis' car.
Installation took 2 hours, with only a $150 Craftsman set with the help of the jack handle being used as a breaker bar.
Before:
After:
Basically, about a 2" drop all around but I don't think it's settled yet.
Our new tool addition:
Ride is very similar to stock with less body roll when cornering. We didn't change the struts yet 'cause we wanted to see the effect on the stock ones. We're definitely getting a compressor when we do that.

BTW... neighborhood looks familiar too. I dont think its Rowland Hieghts, but more like Walnut because of the hills.

Cyber,
Yeah, my sis goes there.
Lord,
Yep, Walnut. I borrowed some spring compressors but we didn't use it. There's a trick to getting the springs out without one. You just need the box the springs came from, a long ratchet or breaker bar and someone else to hold the struts on the floor.
Yeah, my sis goes there.

How big of a difference is it from stock and would you suggest that anyone purchase this brand?
Have you had any problems with alignment or uneven tire wear?

Here's a pic:
Click under wheels on this website:
TTE
The specs are exaclty what is on the picture above, 18X8.5 front, 18x10 rear. The rear should have a lower offset, but I got to check on those specs later.

UK Sport RIms
I've seen those rims on UK Lexus forums. They look like the rims that came with UK sport model GS300s. They are still available from certain dealers in the UK. I looked into importing them a while back at one point but changed my plans for my car. They look good with the 10" rear width. How long have you had them? I tried the TTE link but did not see a wheels option. Can you clarify? Thanks and enjoy the fruits of your labor!

I'm having an alignment done as soon as we get another front tire. But it's too early to tell right now. The rear doesn't even show as much camber as we previously anticipated.

To get to the "wheels" option:
TTE Website
On the left, click on "car models," then scroll down to "Lexus GS300/400," then click on "wheels."

The jack is pretty good. It's pretty light and best of all, it works well with lowered cars.

The ability to use on lowered cars is key! I have an older craftsman floor jack and I can only get it under my GS from the front or back, but not the sides. I bought a smaller floor jack to get under the sides. Nice job!
