Default RPM meter light fading!?!

What's up guys............I've noticed that my rpm meter light is fading? Does this mean i have to change it out? Can i change it out? Or is there another solution i can do?

are you talking about the needle itself or the backrounnd, if its the backround yes you can do it yourself for about 2-3 bucks a bulb. if its the needle then you will have to switch it out which is expensive.

Well the background is more dim at the 5 and 6k rpm's, but yes it is the needle and i kinda figured that!

Contact "OLT", he is a mod on these boards and sells the needles. The only other way to fix it is to buy the whole instrument cluster from Lexus, which costs big $$$.

usually a quick fix for the backround is if you just hit the cluster with your hands it will come back on.

Where can I get these bulbs, short of going to the dealer? I called my local Lexus dealer and they wanted
$13 bucks a pop for these.

these lights are killing me, may just go to the dealer and get it over with. Anybody know 'bout how many bulbs I should get from them?

OLT sells the background bulbs for $20. I don't know if that's for the set or for each, but If it's for the set, it would be a good idea to replace them all at one time so that you don't have to go through the hastle of taking your dash apart when another bulb fails.
