Default 2jzgte swap in GS300

Hi I just got done doing a 2jz-gte swap in my 96 lexus gs300 and I was wodering if anyone can help me out. I need to find out how to get my RPM gauge to work. everything else is going going and working but that gauge.

Sorry I can't help you with technical advice, but I would love to see pics of your swap. I'm probably not the only one.

sounds good ill get some pics together. I still have to add a few more things but just put on 18x10 volk GT-P's this week along with 3in straight through exhaust and I am doing the springs and braking system next week along with a HKS BOV. Ill post the pics as soon as its done.

I dunno if you got the PM but the signals are different so you can't plug and play. You can use the Supra TT tach instead. You can also splice the lines. I remeber seeing a diagram but don't have it. right now

My tach is messed up anyways but when the swap was done we just used the s-afc for the rpm's. May not be how you wanna do t but it is a quick fix until you get it done.

If you or somone has theat diagram that would be great I really want to use the factory tach though. Any more ideas would be great.

So a MSD Tach Adapter is the way to get the stock Tach to work. Does anyone know or have any install instuctions or what model tach adapter to get it looks like there is a few models.

Im not good with technical words or spelling. my tach didnt work either but my shop told me to get the JDM cluster from an aristo and replace the tach only into the us spec one. So you would have to take apart the cluster and take the tach out of the aristo cluster and place it in to the gs300 cluster, the reason is because the signals are different....

I have done this process and my tack is working fine.. its pretty easy
