Default Can't believe it's over 10 years old

There are a couple other first gens parked at my nearby train station. The other day I was chatting with one of the owners (drives a nice stock silver one) and he commented on how timeless the styling of the first gen is. I mean, it's over 10 years old for gods sake! And can still hold it's own sitting next to 2000 model cars.

Check out the pic I took today after work (we got out at 1 for the holiday)

Who agrees? If so, take a new pic of your first gen sitting out next to newer cars. (we need a new pic thread anyways).

I most certainly agree! I was just looking at a white 96 GS today and thinking, man thats a good looking car. I think Guigaro did a top notch job on the GS.

My 1st Gen

Default 10 year old GS300

I couldn't agree more - it's been 10 years this month and everytime I see my car or another series 1 I'm impressed with its clean lines, certainly compared to any other 10 year old car. I've been thinking about getting the 3rd generation when it becomes available this summer but I have to say I'm really not sure. Our car, 125,000 miles, is like new inside and out and I just can't see getting rid of it. Granted, new cars have new technology but ours is nearly perfect and we've never had any serious problems.

Cool images. Keep them coming...those engineers really did think of some great stuff back then. Every time I drive a friends (non-lexus) car, I'm like "WTH?" when the steering wheel doesn't move up when the car is turned off. Lol...priceless.

Happy holidays.

From the EOS show. I could not agree more with the comments on this car's styling. Coming up on 12 years old for mine...
