sorry lexaristo but every one buys the same rotors from the same place. All from over sea's.Even mine.I will look into buying 4 piston brake for my next project.

Just be honest ,no bull please.

Mine are made in the USA and to be exact in the City of Industry...On the other hand, rims tend to be sent over here from overseas. I'm being honest with you, don't be a hater.

Looks like they use several different suppliers for discs. For your guys cars:

Bradi
http://www.r1concepts.com/shopexd.son?id=541150900

OP Parts
http://www.r1concepts.com/shopexd.son?id=541371985

For my LS, they also have "Mountain" as one of the brands. I treid a quick search but couldn't come up with much for country of origin.

Just a side note, my rotors are not listed on the site. You will have to email them for the r1concepts premium rotor.

Those bradi's are really good too.

I was planning on giving them a call on their offerings.

My thought was to put some lighter weight calipers on mine but the ones on there now are aluminum so the only way I'm going to make a dramatic difference is to buy StopTech or such. The thought of spending $1,700+ doesn't excite me at the moment.

Reading through some of the posts about brakes on the GS, first gen LS, SC, IS...it is looking like it is a minimal mod to adapt some of the other Toyota/Lexus brakes over. Todd was telling me that he suspects the GS and LS UCF20/21 rotors are the same so if you guys are able to put TT on the first gen, the LS 95-99 calipers couple with some 2 piece rotors from a GS brake kit may be possible.

The TT rotors are 12.7" or there abouts, the LS is 12.4". So installing some LS 400 or 430 calipers, GS 2 piece rotors might be a nice set-up. I'd be curious what combos are possible.

I honestly believe that getting stainless steel brakelines with the combo of dimpled/drilled and slotted rotors will give you equal braking as opposed to just a 4 piston brake without stainless steel brakelines.

Any pics of the lines you got?

I've contemplated some stainless lines made with Earl's Speed-Seal / Aeroquip Super Gem, and Earl's Speed-Flex / Aeroquip. I bounce back and forth on this but until I get closer to doing the brakes it's been a mental tease for me.

On your lines, do yours have a PVC sheath that covers all the stainless brading or just at the connector ends?

Bryan. . .and if you had someone else do it, how much did they charge to change the brake lines? $100 is a very good price for the brake lines so this might be my next mod. Let me know how much was the install of the brake lines.

If you don't have a breakdown of the costs, does anyone else know how much it costs to change the brake lines?

I had my local toyota/lexus shop do mine, they charged $275 and that included replacing all the fluid. I got the same lines as pictured above, from EBay

This is an article written by Andrew Warren some years back. For your consideration:

Good reading info, I still would rather have them for the firmer braking. I'm a member of three different car forums and 2 bike forums. I've never heard of a stainless brake line failing. Not saying it can't or doesn't happen, but it's very, very rare.
