Default New Audio System Install

I'm finally going to swap out the stock system in my wife's '93 GS300. Her biggest complaint has been the lack of a CD player, so I tried installing an FM modulated Pioneer unit. Sounded like crap...so much for trying to save a few bucks. In an effort to retain the cd changer I already installed I bought a Pioneer DEH-P8MP that will work with the changer and plan to install an Infinity 5 channel amp with Infinity 5000cs 5.25 components front and back and a free-air sub -either the infinity 12.1 or kicker c12. The Infinity sub will probably be overkill...

My first question is which of the illumination wires do I connect to the HU? The white-green (ill-) or the green (ill+)?

Second question, there are three power antenna wires, which one's do I connect to the HU to power the antenna? After searching the forums it has been suggested that that all three wires should be tied together to the antenna lead on on the HU, but no one has confirmed this actually works.
Comments/suggestions/advice greatly appreciated. Thanks

you don't have a 12 disc changer in the trunk stock?

I believe the stock CD changer is the only option that's not on this car. It's got everything else...TRAC, heated seats, etc.

About the antenna wires.... yes tie all 3 together and connect to the headunits power antenna wire. The illumination lead, i don't remember which color is which but its an easy fix. Put the car in accessory mode right before it starts and manually turn off the headlights and parking lights. The illumination lead should be off no voltage on it... when you turn on the headlights it should read +12v. The sub won't be overkill trust me I have a 12 with 1k watts rms on it and its just right www.sounddomain.com/id/gompka

Cool

Use the green +ill for the headunit. I believe when I did mine I only used the blue/orange and blue white for power antenna. You can be our guinea pig and verify this..

OK, figured out the antenna. I jumpered the three antenna leads coming out of the blue connecter (R3 connector). That's B-Y (ANTA #4 position), B-W (ANT+B #9 position), B-O (ANTB #10 position). NOTHING. I looked at the schematic on alldata and noticed that the amp also initiates the antenna motor...soooo...I jumpered the R-G wire at the #3 position on the blue connector (this is remote amp wire for the stock system) to the three antenna wires, plus my new radios B-W wire and BINGO...antenna works.

so that's 4 wires plus the 1 from the new headunit which makes 5 wires you need to wire together?

It's essentially all four wires on the right side of the blue connector. Cut them, strip them, bind together and hook to the antenna connection of the new head unit. It's the 3,4,9 and 10 wires in the figure below.
