Whats up CL,
This is my first post I just traded in my 99 Acura CL on a 93 GS300 today. I wanted a four door car that is reliable and automatic because I drive about 70 miles a day. I registered here about 2 weeks ago because I was researching SC400's (hence my name 92SC420). I was considering a 92 SC400 but it was a little too rough for me. On the lot the SC was on, I found a nice 95 GS300 two tone white / gray that was pretty nice, so I took it for a test drive. I liked the car alot but when I checked the vin #, it showed it was a former rental / fleet vehicle. So I came home a researched here on CL all about the gs300 and their track record. I knew after searching a while that it would make a good car for me. I found this 93 All Silver GS300 with 112, 000 miles for $7500. The leather is in great condition, all of the needles and dash lights work, the headlights aren't faded (so I assume it has been garaged), the cupholders seem to work fine, and the window trim is fine (no highway noise). On top of all this, it has all of the scheduled service records. It has the chipped wood on the center console and very few scratches or dents. It could use some new rotors up front, they're a little warped. I ended up paying $7200 for the GS and getting $6400 for my Acura. Anyway, I just wanted to thank this forum for helping me make my decision on the GS. I will be modding this car so I will be posting more often. I threw my silverstars from my CL on as soon as I got home. I plan to tint it real soon and get some new front rotors. I will probably get some staggerd 19s or 20s after I get my tax return.

Your car is hot man! I love silver too because it can appear clean even when its not and it doesn't show scratches and swirls as much. Black is my next favorite color but I don't have time to keep them clean and swirl mark free.

Yea, the first one that I looked at had the tan and brown interior. Its not that bad but I do prefer gray or black.

My first mod will be tint (if you want to consider that a mod). I will either do 5% all around or 15%. I've had 5% on my last two cars and have been lucky enough to avoid the law. I can't decide if I want the limo look on this one or not. I do know one thing, I feel naked without tint. I love this body style too, better than the second gen in my opinion, although they are super nice too. I like the 93-97 because they are kind of a rare sight I guess, especially modded. My first real mod will be wheels. Wheels make or break a car so I want to get them first. I might clear out the headlights this weekend if I have time but other than that I will be searching for wheels.

Hi and welcome to CL and the first gen forum. I have a 94 GS300 and the wood around the shifter liften after the car sat outside overnight and the temp here dropped below 40F. My brother got me a new wood veneer piece for the area around the shifter from www.veneerz.com. It's about $60 or so for that piece. Check it out if you want to fix that. The piece that veneerz makes is beautiful. I'll try to take a photo of it and post it here if you want to see it.

^ Thanks man, I appreciate that link.

By the way, do you all have the built in cell phone? Hah. Reminds me of the old days when my dad had one of those bag phones that looked like a little suit case.

Congratulations on your new purchase! You're lucky that you got a 1st gen with none of the usual problems, so that leaves you with more money to spend on mods And the all silver exterior is really nice too
