Default New nifty battery leads :)

I need to get a day light pic, but you get the idea
they are really spiffy and easy to cut your stock connections off and strip into this

That what I did, I put mine in the pocket below my stereo. Under the hood at the battery is kind of useless
I mean it looks nice, but unless you drive under the hood or without a hood? If it was hooked up in the car then you could actually see what the voltage was in the car as there is usually a small drop from the battery to inside the car.

well I can moniter what the voltage is while in park this way also.
and if you have pulleys like I do, and work on your car alot, seeing the voltage under rev (using the throttle body) helps moniter how the load on the charging system in the car is.
I really don't want a voltmeter in the car, I'm a minimalist when it comes to interior stuff, less is more kinda thing.

I have a 200amp alternator w/external regulator that I custom built. I also have an UD pulley as well as the smallest pulley available for my alt. Before I went with the external regulator and custom rebuilt the alt the car wouldn't charge unless the rpm's were over 2 to 3 thousand.and it was not sufficient. After adding the external regulator and beefing up all the other parts it now starts charging at around 900 to 1000 rpm. The voltage is rock steady at 14.4 even with the stereo and 3 amps jamming away. I know you have upgraded your charging system as well, so if you're having problems, I can see why you got the voiltmeter. As for me I have to have it inside so I know where my voltage is at all times.

I put a 100 amp from a supra turbo in (the auto tranny one, manny is a 90 amp)
anyhow it is a champ, charges at 94 amps, which is as good as it gets, you should expect a 10% loss with an alternator.
I had some bad ground and power wires, still might need some work though, The battery's reserve cap is 90 minutes which is nice.
we should talk about the electrical system on aim or something you might be able to help me out
