So, wife crashed her 94 GS yesterday
Stupidest accident ever!
She went into one of these automatic carwashes, without an attendant, and the display indicated to her to back up. She started to back up, but it was so foggy in there that she couldnt see anything, and it turned out that the overhead door wasn't open completely, and she hit it with the rear window. The window broke, glass went flying everywhere, she paniced, and accidentally hit the gas. The car went flying backwards, knocking the overhead door down, and into pile of snow. The door fell on her car, bent up the roof, trunk, hood, busted tail lights, centerbrake, tore drivers side door off the hinges, bent the door and frame....
The carwash owners called police, I need to pick up the report tomorrow. Called tow truck, took the car to the body shop, its gonna cost $2100 to fix it using used parts. I wonder what the police report will say, and what the insurance will say. The car is covered under liability only, so if they find that its 100% her fault, the money is coming out of our pocket, which majorly sucks.

Wow, that does suck. Single car accident in a car wash...not totally uncommon here in east texas. I'll bet the cops did a breathalizer. In either case I'd speak with a lawyer...after all, like you said, the machine did tell her to back-up! Sounds to me like "faulty machinery" led to the accident. Sounds to me like this whole incident has caused you emotional distress. Did the car have sentimental value? Is your wife emotionally disstraut? Hope it works out.

We dont really want to get involved with layers and all that, its too time and energy consuming, plus it requires you to be a good liar. I dont want none of that trouble, would be nice to get some money from the carwash though for the repairs.
