Default adjusting A/F ration on maf????

Well i know you can make some air adjustments at the maf to lean/richen the mixture. I went on diagnostics for something else recently and I was told i was running a little lean. Now i figure why not try to compensate with this instead of messing with an apexi s-afc or something like that . After some fun with the good ole dremel and about 1/4" of aluminum here is the adjustment screw. Now anyone , Epik maybe, know how much i should mess with this screw or just keep messing with it till it feels like its running right?

Cool

The question is why would you need to ? Unless your modified intake is causing problems with the swirl readings. There's no reason to mess with it. The car is computer controlled it determines the A/F ratio. There are lots of other things that could cause a lean condition. The problem is you have no way of calibrating that adjustment. you might be able to make a small adjustment, mark it and note fuels use, mileage, running conditions. I would think that screw calibrates the sensors in the VAF. It's not like a carburetor where you drill it out and change it!

Default

well i was told i'm running a bit lean and i'm thinking maybe cause the cold air intake.. All your doing is letting air bypass the maf sensor when you open that up. I might play with it a little and see what happens.
