Default Shift **** loose!

What's up guys, well i was in Shreveport this weekend (didn't do to good, down $600 on the craps table ) anywho. When i received my car back from valet, my shift **** was loose, i think them d@mn valet kids jacked it up! Well now it feels funny and loose. Has anybody had this problem before and how can i fix it?

Thanks in advance guys!

Cool

If it's a GS3 remove cover on front of shifter and tighter the 2 screws.

actually what you have to do is put the car in neutral and slide the sleeve down on the base of the shifter, then tighten the 2 screws.

alright guys, well i found out that it is broken from the screws and wondering where can i buy another. Hopefully this d@mn super glue helps and if not, do i have to replace the whole shift **** or can i just buy the piece where the screws go!?!

thanks guys!

i had this happen before and super glue will not hold it. Everytime you shift gears it will break again, also you will have a hard time putting the car in park. just buy another look on e-bay i see them once in a while.

Actually Jmai22 I was refering to the looseness I feel sometimes on the road while driving about 60-80km/h you feel a little shimmy in the gearshifter but which goes away after 80km could it be related to the tightening procedure you mentioned above?
thanks
