Aftermarket bushings - I did search
I can't seem to find anybody who makes and sells aftermarket rubber or poly bushings. My rear bushing of my front lower control arms are TOAST! I don't want to buy new arms at $150 a piece just because the rubber is bad.
Thanks
Thanks

the only bushings available for the lower arms are the factory replacements that are offered from lexus..They have to be pressed out and pressed in..It actaully saves time and irratation to just buy the new arms instead of having to press out the old ones..Hope this helps..

Then I realized that his is for the lower A arm. I need it for the arm that keeps the spindle assembly from moving front to back.
Anybody know the part number for the bushing below. I had to drop the entire subframe to get these out, and my car is stuck until I get them replaced.

Those are your caster arms, not your lower control arms..They dont sell the bushings for those, only the complete arm..I was going to change these on my car but when I realized that I had to drop the whole sub-frame I just returned them..Here is the part number and retail for each..
Link, control arm 93-95
R 48660-30140 $115.77
L 48670-30140 $115.77
96-97
R 48660-30180 $129.48
L 48670-30180 $129.48
Hope this helps and let us know how the installation goes..Also how bad was it to drop the sub-frame??

My part numbers and prices come directly from the lexus parts book.. I trust the actual parts sheet over something that is seen on a site and I know these are the part numbers because I have purchased them in the past..Those arms adjust your caster ..

It took me a couple hours, but if I did it again, I would know from the beginning that I would have to drop the subframe, not to mention that my bolts were rusted and they had to sit with some WD40 for about an our before I could hammer the bolt out.
If I were to do it again, I could drop the subframe in 30 minutes.
To drop the subframe, you need to unbolt the 12mm bolts at each conerer..there are two at each totalling 8 in all. You then need to disconnect the steering column. I also disconnected the lower control arm and sway bar to reduce any binding. Then drop the 4 subframe bolts, make sure you have a nice floor jack under the frame. so you can put it back. The frame may shift a little to the rear, and don't know how hard it will be to put back yet.
Steps:
1. Remove the pair of 12mm bolts around each subframe bolt.
2. Remove power steering column bolt to rack and pinion.
3. remove lower control arm(might be optionial).
4. remove sway bar(might be optional).
5. remove subframe bolts.
