I tried both set-ups on my old Trans Am that I used to bring out on the track and the street races. In my experience there's advantages and disadvantages to both. The dry system is the easiest to set up where as the wet system takes a little more work. As far as which one is more effective, I'd say wet. It just made a whole world of difference, like blow the seat off your pants difference. The wet system I had was comprised of a throttle body plate that had 4 jets for the n2o2 and shot straight into my intake manifold. My dry system was comprised of only one jet that was placed underneath my air-intake (which I drilled a hole into to accomodate the jet). Which makes the dry system more stealthy, it's easier to conceal. But in the end, wet is more effective, in my experience. I guess all my rambling didn't answer your question, as to which one I think is safer, I'd say dry.
