Default lowering springs questions

hey guys. im fairly new to the whole modifying world and i just need some help. i wanted to lower my gs300 for better handling and a more aggressive look. ive ordered my intake and have a few extra bucks left and i wanted to lower.

is this what i need? http://www.overboost.com/obs/product.asp?pid=5319

or is this what i need? http://www.overboost.com/obs/product.asp?pid=37735

im wondering if i can just change out the springs in the first link and have the car lowered? or do i need the whole shebang?

thanks for answering all the noob questions. thanks again guys

I have the eibach pro kit on my GS here is a pic so you can see the drop. I have 18's. Alot of people want their car lower than what mine is. Mine are 10 inches in the rear and I run 275's now and i rub. I plan on going to 295's once i roll the fenders...so i can't go any lower. But here is a reference.

I've had the eibachs before I had my coilovers and the ride felt pretty much stock, but the drop was so weak, I couldn't stand it...Many members here will cut their springs but, it's not safe.

If you want to stay with springs, go with tanabe's..

Overall if you go with the coilovers, it will be worth every penny.

if u do a search, u can see pics/review of my ride lowered on tanabe's. i got them shipped from TMengineering shipped for a lower price than the link u provided from overboost.

but go with the coilovers if u have the cash. lexAristo's ride looks very nice slammed on them

Another thing to keep in mind is that if you are running 16's or 17's, it will make your car slammed on the Tanabes. If you get anything over 18's, it wont be as low as you would think.

I'm not going to argue with you Jess, let's just leave it at that.

I am new to the customizing biz with my Black 1994 GS 300...will have pics soon I hope...and just bought some Tanabe Sustec DF210 springs. Supposedly around 1.8" drop...we'll see. From all the thread searches I have done it seems as though the Eibachs don't drop it nearly enough...unless yur rollin' on 20's. Aside from the post-installment alignment is there anything I else I need to make sure I do once I put these babies in? Thanks for helping out the new guy. Me.

Start placing your order for new shocks because you will need to be replacing them every 8 months.
