My car keeps overheating and I think it's because of the fan placement. I have a griffin 2 core radiator. The stock fans have all been removed and a flex a lite black magic 2800cfm fan has been installed. On the driver side I installed a large tranny cooler to the front of the ac condesor. If i'm cruising at 40mph or more the car is fine. As soon as I sit and idle for 3 minutes the temps start to rise fast. Heavy traffic sucks. I just orderd a new flex a lite fan. The twin 12" low profile unit. That will cover both sides. I'm also interested in the TRD thermostate. I checked google and didn't come up with much except the specs. It opens at 71C versus the stock Toyota thermo that opens at 82C. I'm not sure where to pick it up at. The local Toyota dealer couldn't order it.

I think I found out why my car was overheating. The radiator cap **** out. I replaced it with a 16lb cap and haven't had any problems yet but the outside temp hasn't been as hot this week. I went ahead and ordered the TRD thermostat anyways. Can't hurt anything here in Phoenix.
