Default 624rwhp stock 2JZGE(SC300) Turbocharged

A member of the Supraforums turbocharged his SC300 to 624 rwhp on his stock engine. No internal mods, just a turbo!

Nice. Anyone know the basic answer for why the SC300 is readily turbo'ed but the GS isn't? $4K seems like a reasonable price for +400hp.

No way, The supra tranny will handle a little more power. However, for power like that you're talking about swapping in a gm tranny or something simillar.

You can always buy a built auto from www.sound-performance.com capable of 700hp.

Another company that does nice work is www.powerhouseracing.com. They make pretty much a full line of NA stuff for the GE motor. There based out of Albuquerque.

The aformentioned SC300 had an upgraded tranny. I mostley posted this to show that the 2jzge engine can be turboed to very hi hp levels without changing the internal components of the engine.

Derf (real name Fred ) in SELOC had 450 whp and drove his car like a wild man, his tranny lasted more then a year without much tinkering, he gives rides out like disney does with space mountain. He's getting a stock tranny built for his new turbo set up, which will be 500 whp and way beyond.
