Default A/C Issues - 93 GS300

I need some advice. My A/C has stopped blowing cold air. The air is just slightly cooler than the outside air at best. I'm not sure if the A/C can be recharged in this 93' GS300? Is there anything else I can look for like stuck valve etc.?

Cool

It's r134a, yes it can be recharged. More than likely you have a deteriorated oring and it's leaking a small amount of freon.

Im having a similar issue. I have charged mine. It stays charged but...it only works for about 30seconds to a minute then the ac light flashes and thats all she wrote. Is there a pressure sensor to replace ? I dont take any of my cars in for service. I do all of the work myself. Im not about to pay 165 bux for them to tell me whats wrong and then still have to fork out $crilla to get the parts.

Thx

Wink

The flashing is a code, so without the code it's hard to tell you the problem. There are quite a few sensors.

Default r134a standard?

Is the r134a standard for the first gen GS300? Or is it a conversion from R-12 to R134a ???

I know the flashing on the CEL is a code. But the one on the AC button too ? That would be awsome. I assume you count it the same way ?

My AC light is flashing but its not a code its just on off on off. No pauses.
It works on a cold day but not on a hot day. Weird.

Check for codes by pressing AUTO and R/F SW while you turn the key on. all indicators should light up for one second 4 times in succession. Then you should hear a buzzer. Then a code should read out on the display.
