XERD Header install (VIDEO ADDED)
it wasn't TOOO bad, if you have not installed at least one header on a 2jz or done a few on diff cars, don't do it. AND most importantly the xerd supra header is not a perfect match to the rest of the exhaust, if I wasn't about to get an exhaust I would be pissed. I am running open header and I am just as loud as a GT3 track car, it's nuts. There is a 3 inch gap that could be closed with lots of playing because the stock make the exhaust like a limp weener. I didn't want to bother getting long **** bolts and playing with it, I'm waking up and going to the exhaust shop first thing, and I hope there are plenty of cars on the road as I don't want to get pulled over, who would suspect a lexus of being so loud?
I didn't get pics installed because a monsoon started right as I finished the install.
When you install you will need two Bosch (I suggest NAPA best price) 12051 oxygen sensors, you have to remove the mounting bracket and screw them directly into the header you also have to increase the length of the wire so it plugs into the 02 plugs, and you also have to cut and solder on the plugs.. Other things you might need are new stock header studs and bolts. I would suggest seeing if http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/merchant/index.shtml can order the right header, because getting an extension for your current exhaust might be a biax10 and look just nasty.
so skills required are
1. soldering (if you can get the header in it doesn't mean ****e without the 02s)
2. patience
3. spatial/mechanical ability to get the header out
4. a 2nd car for parts that you don't forsee needing, we got older cars, stuff rusts...
5. Deep sockets, torque bar, liquid wrench, good sockets, ratchets (use the 3/8 and 1/2 ones, my quarter could fit better but would have busted), open ended wrenches (22mm for the new 02s), vice grips, big use table mounted vise (you'll know if you need it)

might I suggest NEVER running open header
exhaust is done sounds great now.
the way to the muffler shop was nuts, using the word loud just isn't fitting
my head hurts (fumes/noise) even hours later
my rearview mount is just about shot

NICE, I bet it's still a dog though. I would LOVE to do my exhaust, but I DO NOT wanna hear the car, I DO NOT want to deviate from the stock quiteness, unless of course I had a BOV to hear

well if you have to choose performance or not
personally I think it sounds great now that I have the rest of it installed, very little drone at all, and it really adds to the driving experience/fun.

NO dude, 2 resonators IS FINE
I am running NONE right now
and I talk on my phone a lot, windows closed ppl haven't said a word,
and keep in mind unless you do the header install like I did along with the exhaust your sound level is not going to be near the same to begin with.
I think most GS owners with stock header and a aftermarket exhaust will tell you that
oh ya also what you can do is use a chambered muffler, a REGULAR borla, not a tuner series like the one I got. Borla has some nice oval tips to keep a stock tip shape

What are you gonna do when you slap a turbo on there?
Are those your instructions on ebay?
