Make sure that the cassette adapter turns both hubs or reels, like a cassette would. If the reels or hubs are not kept synchronised with each other, the deck thinks it's at the end of the cassette and try to to flip.

I'm getting a new head unit, but right now I just use spare vtr audio inputs

b4 I had my ashtray set up with the pc ipod mount and it looked uber fancy and nice and charged it (all custom) but was always on the fritz.

Default "Spare audio input" for mp3player / xm radio ?

Eric-GS300,

Can you explain what you mean by "spare vtr audio inputs" for an old guy like me? I was using a cassette adapter for my XM radio but the cassette player has died. Also I am getting an iRiver H10 that I'd like to hook up. I don't want to use the FM radio transmitter because the sound sucks. Instead of using a cassette adapter, is there a way to directly connect to the head unit? (I was thinking of splicing into the 12-cd changer cable or something like that). I have the standard non-luxury stereo with the 12-cd changer in the trunk.

Thanks and regards,
Tanstaafl

I have an aftermarket head unit right now
I'm working on a direct connection method for the stock 2nd gen stuff right now, when I get done with that I'll tackle the 1st gen
