i have 2 12's in my trunk with a 1600 watt amplifire, my bass does not hit as hard as it should because of that fire wall behind the rear seat. one guy told me that he can make a custom box and port it directly into the cabin. i will hear no trunk rattle and all the bass will go into the cabin. has any one done this before? is it worth it?

First, what kinda 12's do you have, and second what kinda amp? Also, on the amp there should be some blade fuses...I dont know how many it will have, but I need to know. I also need to know the rating of the fuses.
As far as going with a different box...its worth a shot, but, I would try and build it myself and just test the sound. Then, if it sounds good, have a pro build the box. If it were me, I would build the box to where the sub are facing the cabin and are in an encloser leading to the stock sub hole in the rear deck. Then, I would have the back of the subs with a plexi-glass encloser, that way I can see em . I dont know if it'll work though, freakin gas tank
Its all worth a try though...besides the plexi-glass part, that stuffs not cheap.

BUT, if you really wanna do it big and save A LOT of room, get you 1 competition 12, and a competition amp, build a nice box...or put it in the stock sub location with some sort of baffle, and keep the bass low(lower than normal lol) and you will have one bangin system man.

1 Pyramid 1600 watt amp crystal series and 2 12 Rockwood Xplores. they hit really hard but the wall is hindering me from enjoying the bass. i was going to buy 2 audiobahn Flame Q 12's or 10's due to the gas tank and since i have another Pyramid crystal, i was going to make each amp power 1 sub. after i make that custom box. i know om gonna need dynamat for my rear deck where my factory 10 was becaise its rattling alot with the system i have already.

Still didnt answer my fuse question. The thing you have to remember from high school is that Volts x Amps = Watts. So by that eqaution, if your amp only has 2 30 amp fuses, you have a total of 60 amps correct, so if you multiply 60 x 13.9 which is usually what the voltage is at then you get???? 834 watts. Thats Total though, you can pretty much divide that by 2 to get RMS and thats 417, then divide that by 2 to get how many watts rms each sub is getting, so about 208. So all Im saying is check your amp and then do some math.
My amp has 4 30 amp fuses..120 amps total...13.9 volts...1668...800 watts RMS...I only have 1 10 hehe.
Try it and see, btw, I bet money my 10 hits harder than your 2 12's

I'm going to do 5.25 infinity kappa coaxials in the back and component in the front. Anyone familiar with this set up??

I'm having Ultimate Electronics run my 4 guage and install my deck (110$). They are saying i have to replace speakers, speaker wires, and amp inorder for them to do it. Components are 85rms and coax are 55rms. Does it really matter if i run new wires or not?? Someone PLEASE put some input on this!! Thanks

You dont HAVE to replace speaker wires. If you are talking about running a new amp for the infinitys, then yes, you will probably want to put an amp on them because the Head-unit probably cant push them. You should try the install yourself, and if you mess up and something doesnt work, which wont be the case, then take it and pay someone 110 bucks, to me, paying someone isnt worth it.
