Front Wheel Bearing
Has anyone ever changed these? i'm wondering if i need to press a new bearing in or is it the whole hub i need to replace. i haven't looked at it yet, but during my inspection they told me they felt some play and should be taken care of. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

I know this thread is old but thought I would reply since I'm going to change my front bearing soon.
1. Raise the wheel with a jack and remove the wheel with a lug wrench. The jack point is a bit less than a foot behind the front tire and is marked by two notches in the bottom edge of the body panel.
2 Remove the steering knuckle assembly. This will require tie-rod end remover tool no. 09610-20012. The rotor and speed sensor should be removed.
3 Pry the grease cap off the inside of the knuckle with a flat-head screwdriver.
4 Clamp the hub with a soft-jawed vise and loosen the staked portion of the hub nut with a hammer and chisel. Remove the nut with a 36 mm socket wrench. Pull the speed sensor rotor off the spindle.
5 Remove the four bolts that attach the dust cover to the knuckle and slide the cover towards you.
6 Pull off the the hub and the inner bearing race with the adjustable puller tool. Remove the oil seal with the oil seal remover tool. Remove the snap ring with a pair of snap ring pliers.
7 Remove the bearing from the knuckle with the axle hub vise tool. Install the replacement bearing with the hub bearing installer tool. Attach the snap ring and inner race.
8 Install the oil seal with axle hub installer tool 09608-32010 and a hammer. The seal should be flush with the steering knuckle.
9 Attach the dust cover, tightening the bolts to 76 ft-lbs. of torque. Install the axle hub using both axle hub installer tools.
10 Slide the speed sensor rotor into place and attach the hub nut. Torque to 147 ft-lbs. Stake the nut with a hammer and chisel. Install the grease nut.
11 Replace the steering knuckle, attach the wheel and lower the car.
