Cool

A dimmer switch is simply a rheostat or resistor , no relay is needed to dim. More than likely your switch is bad.

I ended up getting another dimmer switch and it still did not work. But the funny thing is that when I put a light tester on the small lights that illuminate your floor the dome light lit up. There is power going to the switch also, am I missing a fuse or something... I found the one under the dash and the fuses under the hood but they all seem fine...

Well that's normal as it is probably grounding or receiving power through the test light.. So what exactly is not working? Let's start from the begining and troubleshoot this.

The dimmer switch itself, when you put the switch to the door position it does not work and also the floor light do not, but if you put it to the on position the dome light turns on. My door lights also work and turn on and off with the door switch. I hooked up the new dome light and have come up with the same problem, dome light still not working. When I hooked up the tester to the floor lights I had the tester grounded and then tested to see if those lights had power which they did and thats when I tested one side of the connection which emitted a bright light on the tester and the dome stayed off and when I tested the other side, the tester emitted a dull light and thats when the dome light turned on, but did not turn off when I closed the doors.

Cool

Ok, sounds like the integration relay.as long as you checked the 10amp dome fuse. Sounds like it all has power, just not getting ground. The integration relay controls the illuminated entry system. it's a 12 pin relay in junction block 1 or where the interor fuse block is.
