Cool

Remove side cover for antenna motor clean out any plastic debris. Spray a coating of wd40. Replace cover. Lube new antenna plastic cable with good quality synthetic grease. Spray light
coating of wd40 on metal mast. insert plastic cable in antenna hole till it stops. Turn on radio keeping light pressure on plastic cable. It will pull the cable in, help guide it in Turn radio on and off a few times to get it right. Send me $5 and a coke for my time.

Default need help with antenna

hi,
i can still hear my antenna motor running when i turn my gs300 on or off. but the antenna is broken on the outside. i saw a antenna mast on ebay which showed an antenna attached to a gritted teeth plastic cable. will this work as a replacement antenna for me or do i have to change the entire motor.(will it come in and out automatically when i turn the car on or off).
someone please advise before i buy the mast from ebay.
thanks

I don't see anything wrong with gettin it off ebay. I made the mistake of buying it from some other parts company online and WAY overpaid for it. 45$$ and they didn't even give me instructions

"Mast Replacement" is a good search argument. Depending on the extent of damage of the original mast, the motor assembly need not be removed. Pictures are posted on some responses.

Hey, i don't believe that there is any damage done to the motor or anything. The mast just needs to be replaced. For those of you that have the official instructions for the antenna mast install....would it be possible for you to fax that sheet to this number 7635593383 And write "Lasinker" somewhere....That would be great!!! Thanks Or just photo copy them to me somehow my email address is snowman2109@hotmail.com
