Default Wheel lip needs re-clearcoated! Help!

Please Help! Again, the lip of 2 of my wheels looks as if the clear coat has come off. The wheel lip is polished. It looks like "dried water" marks all around the lip that will not wipe off. What can I do? I tried to use some clear coat remover in a can. It did nothing. The way I applied it was I sprayed it on a rag and wiped in a little spot to see if it would work. It didn't. Any suggestions? Please Help!

If they're polished lips with clearcoat. I'd reccommend you have a wheel shop remove the clearcoat and poilsh the lips and just leave them as is. Clearcoat on polished metallic surfaces tends to take away some of the luster of whatever alloy is coated.

Thanks, Seize. I called a wheel shop and the guy said exactly what you stated above. He told me to not put clearcoat back on after polishing. Do you think I can do this myself? If so, what can I use to take the old clearcoat off? Thanks!
