How can you tell your power steering pump is working??
I'm just curious how can you tell if your PS pump is working...besides the factor of how easy your steering wheel turns.
Bout month or 2 ago, i got my PS pump replaced because my mechanic thought it needed to be. Well, no difference amongst the level of ease on turning the steering wheel and PS fluid still seaps out just a little and collects in that little ridge. The pump was a reman from overnightparts.com and came in terrible shape. (oily and greasy with broken plastic pieces) Its WAY noisier than the old one but i cant tell the difference between them!!

No way to really tell...but my guess, is they sent you a crap one. Probably got it mixed up with one they recieve that was bad.
You can buy a rebuild kit for like $30 from the dealer. Takes a couple hours, but isn't hard.
