Default water in egr valve

hey guys. I have this problem and I don't know why its happening or where its coming from. every few days my egr valve will have water in it, about 1-2 ounces of water and the check engine light will come on and I will have to take it off the car and blow it with compressed air to remove the water and that will get rid of the CEL for about 3-4 days. so where is the water comng from and why

Cool

Is it water or coolant, if it's water it may be moisture from warm exhaust air that has cooled, especially if you live in a cold and wet area. Not sure why it's collecting there, unless it's because it's the highest point , could it be clogged or restricted further down the pipe, there by trapping the moisture there? Do you still have mufflers, resonators, cat and precats on your car?

Cool

I believe your talking about a heatshield, probably has some trans fluid leaking on it.
