Those look like SF-1's, but those spring perches should be red...either they were replaced or have been worn out from regular use.
With the SF-1's, you could lower as much as 4" (maybe even a bit more). The comfort level isn't like stock shocks/springs, but it still offers a good ride.
That's exactly what it says.

4 types of suspension that is common for the first gen.
- tein cs (comfort spec) coilovers with 16 point stiffness adjustment (which is what I have, with no complaints)
-tein ha, these are known to be harsh as well but the handling is better than the tein cs. This is for those who want to lower the car, but don't mind losing the comfort in the car.
-JIC FLTA-2, these are the best ones offered by JIC. Offer adjustment just as the tein cs but the ride is alot harsher.
-jic sf's, are the low end JIC which were discontinuted. When I called jic the guy said that you will be bottoming out since the shocks don't last long.
I would save up and get the tein cs since they are the best of both worlds. I ride on the stiffest setting and it is still very comfy. Feels like my old eibachs.
hope that helps.
