GS300 Has strange shudder
My '93 GS300 has developed a peculiar trait. Occassionaly when I am slowing down it has a rather violent shudder right as I am coming to a full stop. It actually feels like I am being tapped from the car behind me. It has only happened about 4 or 5 times over the last couple of weeks, very infrequently. At all other times it is running fine, starts fine, smooth idle, full power.
I changed the plugs,cap and rotor and it has happend since then.
Any ideas what may be causing this?

Sounds likr your torque converter is going bad, you may want to try flushing the tranny to see if it helps. if not you will just have to live with it or rebuild or replace the transmission.
