okay people,
here is my situation. as u all know am getting ready to ship my ride overseas in about 4months so i want everything to be in great condition.
when i bought my car, the previous owner only gave me one key which starts the car but does not open the doors and the trunk.
i always use the security remote lock(which was installed in the car ) to open the doors, trunk and lock the car.
but if this car is going overseas, i need a key to open the doors and trunk.
how do i get this master key. and is the one i have now a sub-key?
can a lexus key be cut from the vin?
suggestions people.
thanks

i can get a key cut from the vin number just for opening the doors and trunk. cause i do not mind that. at least with that if the keyless entry fails i can use the key.
is that what u mean turbogs?
if so, can they cut the key at lex using the vin number?
or what are my other options?
thanks

and the parts department manager said it would be better to get a lock smith to program the locks so that the key i have now will open the doors and trunk.
he said it is better than paying for a master key thru the vin because the locksmight have been changed by the previous owner.(which made sense)
so how much do u guys think a locksmith would charge to reprogram my locks so it be opened by the key i have.?
