Default Sunroof operating question 96' gs3

hello, i just bought a 96 gs300 and i have a question about the sunroof operation. it opens fine but when i close it , it stops about 6 inches away from fully closing and i have to let off the button and push it again and it closes all the way. Is this normal, if so whyyy?

Its supposed to be a safety feature....good for moms that drive their kids so they don't crush their fingers Bad for us dudes with extreme impatiance

Although i don't really mind this feature all that much. Now thats its getting warm up here, i always drive wit the sunroof open and i have many easy quick grab valuables in there. SO in those quick stops, i just close the sunroof until it gets to that halfway point and let it be cuz you cant stick your hand in there to do anything and you dont gotta look up or nothin when closing it!!!

IS there a way to make it so you push the farward or backwards button once and itll go from one end to another instead of holding it down???

ITs a 95GS, I'm guessing the keys gotta be in the start possition? i gotta hold the tilt up button for how long?? I held it for like 25 35 seconds, nothing happened.

Do i have to do anything before like mess with the motor or somn?
