Default TT Supra brakes quick questions

1st, i'm posting this in this forum mainly because it concerns 1 gen only. For the mods: if this is still in the wrong forum, I am really sorry!! My intention is not to upset anyone.
Here we go:

I'm planning on doing the Supra brake conversion ALL around and I have some questions:

To make the TT conversion, do we need a custom caliper bracket? (front or rear?)
How about the brake lines?
Clearence? (any spacers required?)
Anything else you need to point out?

Thanx again to everyone.

The reason I decided to post this is because when I search 'Supra Brakes' I always get the SC or the GS gen 2 forum and I couldn't find anything concerning our model. I think we should have a tech reference just for the 1st Gen explaining JDM headlight issues and FAQ, Tailight Guide, Supra TT conversion FAQ, and Dash Ligh Problems... maybe we have it and I'm such a dummy that I can't find it!!!
Well thanx again everyone, I'll post pics of my newly painted 1C0 1st Gen soon!

They should fit as the UK spec GS has the exact same brakes as the J-spec supra has which I know you can direct swap with the Bigger US spec 4 pot brakes. Only issue is fitting wheels over the top of them.

I thought so too, but I was just being cautious If i needed to not overlook an issue. I got new wheels and they are used mainly on supras, so clearence for me is really no prob. Thanx again peeps!

in order to put supra brakes on 1st gen gs, you will have to take out the brake dust shield.
also, you might need to use washer for the bolts that holds the supra tt calipers as the bolts will rub/touch the rotors. using washers will make some clearance for the bolts not to touch the rotors at all. and last thing, you will have to use 17inch wheels and over just to clear the calipers.

yes, either way you will have to use washers. you can even use LS400 rotors and calipers
from 95-up. i have stock LS400 rotors at home but waiting for some calipers and will install on my gs300.

ls400 will not work unless u have a spacer which lifts up one part of your control arm.

On the 2GS the TT calipers fit no problem, but when using the ls calipers there is a fit issue with clearing the steering knuckle and modification is required.

So if you 1GS guys know the TT fits, then yes the LS calipers will probably have the same clearance problem as the 2GS.

My RMM 4 piston brake calipers came in today. I'll be like TLW and not post a pic.

ok since I actually did the swap I'm gonna chime in
they bolt right up
no probs no washers needed. no mights no ifs, I did a full write up on this after I swapped

not any 17 inch rim is going to work either you have to get wheels with high disk fitment.

our suspension is the same as a supra like the SC, I have supra rear upper and lower mounts for my suspension, the front suspension on the 1st and 2nd gen are almost identical, only the 1st gen doesn't have brake line brackets/holders. how do I know? my suspension was originally for a 2nd gen, all I did for the front was remove the square brackets from the teins.
