what size of tires? I know you mentioned 235 and 275 but what porfile: 25, 35, 40, etc...?

edit: I have 18x8.5 +29 for the fronts and 18x9.5 +37 for the rears... you think the offset for the fronts is too low? I plan on using tanabe springs...

the tires i am using are 245/35/19 and 275/30/19.

if you're running 18's, i would use 40 series at tires. the 29 offset for the fronts will make the wheels stick out a little bit, i think.

I recommend Dunlop Direzza DZ 101.

get something not directional puts up with handling much better and lasts longer
bridgestone RE03s or the 77s are good
Continental contisports
if the ones bryan reccomends are not directional go with those
or those BFGs are great also, my buddy clark couldn't get his supra to break loose and he's got over 1000whp, this was in miami at 70 mph, of course he's got fat tires and all the proper mods to keep the rear squat under load. but his car is truely amazing, people whine about turbo lag, I never noticed it, and it's never an issue on a properly built car.

I am sponsored by dunlop so I highly favor their tires since I use them. They are definitely better than the hankook ventus sport k104 I used to have.

Main thing is with wheel fitment, when I had michelin pilots on my aggresive fitment, it was rubbing. The dunlops/hankooks have a slight stretch to them and the sidewalls aren't boxy so they don't rub on the fenders.

Michelines are great for durability. The tread rating is 380, but the price is nearly 2 times the price of a dunlop tire. Where as the dunlop tire has a tread rating of 320. The dunlops are drift tires and have a great history of being successful.

My recommendation is to stick to your budget and what you are looking for in a tire. Most likely 19+rim's will have a directional tire since it is made for high speeds. (correct me if I am totally wrong eric).

P.S. You can order from tirerack.com as they have them available.

i'll try the dunlop this time. on my s13 i had st115 falkens and they worked pretty good at the 'test grounds', but i'll try this other ones just to get the experience... I'll try to take my gs to a PK event may 20th, so hopefully i'll have my wheels and springs installed. I'll take pics too!

whoops, sorry for the thread jack!

Easier to drift when your car is as low as mine.
