Default Lexus or Haundai

Ok this is the deal. I told one of my friends that i just got a 1993 Lexus GS300, and he said that they suck and that his 06 Haundai Tiburon is better then a Lexus. He also said that EVERYONE would take a Haundai over a Lexus anyday. Let me know what you guys think. I personally feel that a Lexus is way better, but i wanted to ask all of you to see what yall had to say.

I mean there is no arguing his car is 13 years newer but 1GS>Tiburon.

Especially when u mod it out.

Take it with a grain of salt.

His car is deffinetly alot newer then mine, but from what i know, a Lexus holds it's value over the years if you take care of it. His car decreased in value the minute he drove it out of the lot. The suggested retail value of a Haundai Triburon ten years old with 115,000 miles on it, is only like 3,850. Which to me is crazy since a 93 Lexus with more miles then that on it in good condition has a $5,220 private party value and a $7,620 suggested retail value.

Default No Comparison Whatsoever

don't mean to sound rude but i don't think there is any comparison between lexus and "am-under" or hyundai or whatever it is called.
benz or bmw would have been some choices to think over as a comparison .
hyundais should compare with KIA
Lexus no matter what year carries that aura of both luxury and reliability whereas hyundais carry an aura of "use me for a few years and dump me"
Your friend might have an 06 but truth be told, i'd pick a clean first gen over an 06 hyuandai.
hell, people even ask me if my first gen lex is a 99-2000 model

it's LEX, LEX LEX
that's my opinion.

i wouldn't worry about this at all. no matter what, you roll out on a lexus, while he's making monthly payments on his rich man's kia. Plus, your car is 13 years old, but still considered a very respectable ride. When have you ever heard a 13 year old Hyundai getting props?

Default Thank you

I 100% agree with everything you guys just said. I only wish i would have thought of saying it like that. There is just no comparing the two cars. He seems to think that because he has an 06 it takes away from the fact that his car when it is all said and done is not worth the money he is putting into it. Th eonly reason that i am asking you guys about this is because he doesnt know anything about Lexus. He tried telling me that i would have to find the parts to fix it in Italy. Why talk about something that you know nothing about? i wanted to get a response from people that know what they are saying, and im loving everything so far.

A hyundai or Kia with 10 years of age on it has a market value of approximately $500, and in most cases, in the book value.... it actually shows as "NO VALUE."

What i meant to say was 9 since they did not start making the Tiburon until 1997. I just looked it up to tell him the value of a car like his v. a Lexus. But no value, lol, thats even better.

Default don't worry............

........as long as the car u got was well-maintained, u have nothing to worry about if u keep up with the regular maintenance and as for ur friend saying what he doesn't know,
a good few weeks or even days on the clublexus site and some friendly interaction with the clublexus search tool will give u enough info to answer ur friend's degradation of Lexus.
see now am taking this thing personally.
have a problem with lex , then u have a problem with me.
your friend is introuble now

by the way welcome to clublexus

The car before the Tiburon was called the Hyundai Scoupe. I know, I had one A turbo.

It was HORRIBLE, the fit and finish, quality, everything. It was such a bad experience, I will NEVER recommened a Hyundai, even if they are much improved no.

So if you want to give him a giggle, ask him does he know what the Scoupe is. Its the Tiburouns daddy

That gotta be one of the worst comparison i've ever heard!! PS1 to xbox360!!! I had my cousins 97 hyundie elantra for 2 weeks, i think my power seats have more options than that car let alone the comfort and ride, power, reliability and the list goes on. EVERYTHING WAS BROKEN IN IT, and it was junk. You could not pay me enough to drive that over my 11 year old 95 LEX LEX ALL THE WAY!!!
